Ladybug Labradoodles has DNA tested all of their breeding dogs for over 210 diseases and disorders and is negative for all variants tested. We feel that the health and disposition of our dogs and puppies are the most important thing and takes top priority in our program.
We have done research on how to get the red variety of Australian Labradoodles with the Intensity Loci being the Intense Red Pigmentation. We have searched out for these types of dogs to breed that also have the health and temperament that we require.
Five locations across five chromosomes explain approximately 70% of red pigmentation “intensity” variation across all dogs. Dogs with “Intense Red Pigmentation” will likely have deep red hair like an Irish Setter. All of our dogs have this.
Our breeding dogs are also either Bbee or BBee which ensure that the puppies will be red with black noses and black pads.
Another characteristic is the “Furnishings” gene which is what makes the mustache, beard and eyebrows on Australian Labradoodles. Our breeding stock have the FF Furnishings gene.
Our dogs have the genes which make their hair fluffy, wavy, silky and non-shedding. They also have normal length tails, normal food motivation and unlikely to have hind dew claws due to their genes.
